AdoptUSKids Question
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here has adopted a child or is fostering a child from seeing their picture and information on Adoptuskids.com? Thanks ![]() |

Yes, what is your Question please?
Yes, what is your Question please?
Adoptuskids.com is kids who are legally free for Adoption! It is not a Fostering program!

I have not adopted through adoptus kids, but was refered to that site by Snooks99, who has. I am a registered member of that site and have recieved lots of "action" on the kids I have been interested from the site. Another interesting thing that happened, is that once out of state CW started contacting my state cw, I suddenly started getting info on kids in my own state who are not on the web site. If you have a current homestudy I highly reccommend registering with Adoptkids if you are interested in adopting a waiting foster child.
Sincerely, Saj |

I have found it very helpful. Unlike other photolistings, if you register and log in, you can add children that you are interested in to your list. Then inquire by simply clicking the button, and their cw's check the site and respond. What I like about this the most, is that you find out if they are still accepting interested families, or if they are already put on hold.
And remember, this site is just a tip of the iceburg!! I hope you have good luck with it, it is possible !!

Shirley,
In your thread you mentioned AdoptUsKids as just being the tip of the iceberg. We are just beginning to look, can you suggest other sources? Thanks, Diane |

Here's another site full of listings of available children:
http://comeunity.com/adoption/waiting/photolists.html I sent out over 100 hs in two years. On the cover letter I always let the sw know that if he/she has any other children whom they think would be a good match for us, that we would be interested. We went to committee on three different children over the two years. We are now adopting our foster children. We found that it is possible (we know of three families) to be matched with children through the websites, but it's more possible to adopt from your own state/county.

Thank you for your responses. I would love to talk to someone who has adopted a child from the photolistings. If anyone knows of another site, please post it here. Thank you!

We found our daughter on http://www.adoptpakids.org/photoalbum.asp.
She has been with us for 7 months now - so we are proof that it can be done!!!! |

We found both of our sons through the AdoptOHIO website.
Good luck! We are very pleased with Ohio's SW's. They were very honest and helpful with our sons. AdoptOHIO
