how do i become a foster parent?

I have thought of becoming a foster parent for a long time. I was raised with a sister who was actually my cousin who my mother took guardianship at eight days old because her mother didn't want her. I have always thought of her as my sister and the experience has made me want to open my heart and home to a child in need of love. Every since I was a little girl my dreams weren't of being a doctor or anything they were of being a mother. I have a nine month old daughter and a baby on the way but my husband and I still have plenty of love to give. The problem is we don't know the prodecure to be foster parents or if we even qualify to be. I am twenty, but I will be twenty-one next month and my husband is nineteen and will be twenty in June so I am afraid that a foster agency will view us as to young. Also I don't know if they will think that we make enough money to be foster parents. I am a stay at home mom and my husband makes right under ten dollars an hour at a factory. If anyone could give me any advice or help me in anyway with my problem I would really appreciate it. Thank you .

Well,
Few quick notes.
Most states make the foster/adoptive parents
be at least 21 years old.
some states it's 25 a small amount it's 18.

So you need to check your state laws on the matter.

Also I dont want to discourage you.
But alot of the kids in fostercare come with
issues. Some have been abused and some have medical issues.
The ones that have been abused somtimes act out on people
espcialy other kids.

So there's alot to consider sicne you have young ones
already.

Hope I dont sound rude but I want you to be able to be sure
your making the correct choice for you and your family.
Any questions ask me i'll try and help.
