Hello, all.
I am helping my daughter with some research for a project she's doing at school. She is looking for statistics on how many children are currently available for adoption in Colorado, and how many children were adopted in 2002. If you can help provide this info or point me to resources where I can find this info, I'd be very grateful! Thank you very much for your help! Stephen Larsen |

I did a google search and came up with a few sites but the most recent stats on Colorado that I could find were from 2000. For more recent stats you might need to make some calls. Help desks at public libraries are great sources for how to research these kinds of things.
These sites might give your daughter a starting place. Hope they help. http://www.acf.dhhs.gov/programs/cb/...atedata/co.htm http://www.cwla.org/advocacy/statefa...3/colorado.pdf http://www.acf.dhhs.gov/programs/cb/dis/adoptchild.pdf http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/d...ons/afcars.htm |

Many thanks!
Sharkey,
Thanks for the info. I'll send her to the four sites you listed. FYI - we were in the library today, and found several books on adoption that may help with her project. The one I brought home was the "idiots' " book - "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Adoption", which has some links in it as well. Again, thanks for your help. I'm sure my daughter will be greatful as well. Steve |
