MRI was normal - the quest for answers continues
This message was originally posted by hope4kids.
Prayers are still needed for Nidra. She has continued to have neurological problems. They just started in August - real sudden onset. In the past she had been tested for a hidden spina bifida b/c she has a dimple on her spine. It was normal but unusual they said. Yesterday I noticed that it seems to be getting bigger. There are to vertebrae that I can't feel at all and one that is bareley detectable. She is falling more for no good reason. I am worried about her. She is scheduled for a ct scan of the jawbone, ears, and facial nerve later this week. She is also going to be seen by a specialist who works especially with difficult to diagnose children. The visit is not until the very end of the month. Please pray that we find what is causing this and that it does not trigger anything else. She also starts school for the first time MOnday and is scared about it. Thanks for the prayers! Cathy |

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. Have they started testing her for metabolic disorders? It's driving me nuts, I'm sure I've read about something very, very similar, but I can't put my finger on where... either metabolic disorders or something related to autism (a related neurological problem, not part of the autism spectrum). You're probably already doing this, but do a lot of online research and do it now- speed of treatment matters. You'll be in my thoughts, and I'll see if I can find what I'm thinking of online in case it helps. BTW, pleased to meet you, I'm Star. Haven't been on this board for a while, but my bio's still on Nix's intro page somewhere.Godspeed. - Star |
