HELP

We were so excited then I started researching it on the internet. I soon learned that adoption is very complicated at least in my opinion. We want to adopt a healthy cacusian infant or toddler. We first looked into international adoption we soon learned that this is extremely expensive I understand that children are pricless and I would gladly pay the money if I could find a way to put my hands on 20,000 I would sign up tomorrow. Now everyone that we talk to is telling us that we need to check in to fostercare with the intent to adopt. I would like to know what is involved in this? Is it possible to get an infant or toddler? Do they place childern with you that are ready to adopt. Do you have a say in what age the children are that are placed with you. Anything that anyone can tell me will be greatly appricated PLEASE HELP. Iam sorry if Iam going on and on tonight. Iam just really frustrated WE JUST WANT TO BE PARENTS thank you for your time

Before we were placed with her we received many phone calls of other children. Most of whom were under four and three were infants. We wanted a toddler however and said no a few times. Being a foster/adopt gives me the greatest feeling. Not only were we blessed with a beautiful little girl but we are providing a better future than she would have had otherwise. The best thing about fost/adopt is you do have a say in who you will take; if you want a boy or girl and what age. It is great!

I may be too late here with my reply, but please email me if you would like. My husband and I have been fostering for almost four years and just adopted a beautiful 2 1/2 year old whom we got right from the hospital after her premature birth. It can be very stressful emotionally, but it has been well worth it. I would do it all over again for her! My email addy is grywhop@aol.com
