Hello,
We have been foster parents for 5 years in indiana. We have adopted our first child which we have had since birth, and now is 2 1/2. We called Division of Family and Children located in the phone book. They can tell you a list of private foster care agencies. They can also set you up to get started through them.
That is what we did, because someone told me that the private ones get hard to place children that the state can't place. I don't know if that is true or not. We also have a new baby that we are hoping to adopt soon as well. The state has been just great for us.
