Washington Dc Area Foster-to-adopt Program
[Question] Homestudy, Social Worker, Foster-to-Adopt
Hello everyone, I have a question. Does anyone know how Lutheran Social Services handles the homestudy/social worker issue when you have not completed the classes but have submitted all the paperwork for the homestudy. I will not go into an explanation of why I have not completed my MAPP classes; it suffices to say that it was a mistake on the part of the agency but it will be corrected by mid-February. Anyways, I have submitted all of my homestudy paperwork AND have completed half of the MAPP classes. I have not been contacted at all from a social worker or anything. I know that it is the holiday season but I am just concerned that most people seem to already have a social worker or at least has been contacted by one. MY GENERAL QUESTION FOR EVERYONE IS 'AT WHAT POINT DID THE SOCIAL WORKER CONTACT YOU OR WHEN DID YOU FIND OUT THAT A SOCIAL WORKER HAD BEEN ASSIGNED TO YOU?' Thanks, Lisa |
