I have fallen in love with a sibling group on my state's photolist! 3 beautiful little girls ages 3-9.

I'm wondering what my chances are. I'll be moving in a couple months out of state, and I'm single. They say it doesn't matter but I'm not so sure.

I've done it, too. I feel like I've finally found the group I've been looking for for years. Now, how to convince someone to give them to me.

I just found out yesterday that the sibling group I fell in love with have been "matched"...I am heartbroken

I know there is a chance that parents will change their minds, but who knows how many other families are "backups" sigh.

Is it a good idea to contact the agency to let them know that if things fall through I am still interested?

I'm sorry they were matched with a different family. I don't think it hurts to send a quick e-mail saying that you'd like to be considered if for any reason the placement doesn't work out. I've done that a few times.

The group I'm interested in was taken off the photolistings last night. I'm hoping this means that they are moving ahead to select a family and not that a family has been selected.

The timing is interesting. I sent an e-mail yesterday morning. In my wildest dreams, they read my e-mail and took a close look at our homestudy and realized we were a great match so why not take them down. I'm sure it was nothing like that but a girl can dream.

Yes I would! My kids had supposedly fell through and I told the sw please please if anything happens let me know. The fp that had them were torn on keeping them but decided not to. They would of had to move to a bigger house they really only wanted an older girl etc.

OK thanks ladies. I contacted them via email (haven't returned my call) and let them know. I feel so selfish hoping the other family changes their mind SMH. I hope whatever happens things work out for the better.

Something I didn't know about was the family registry on the Welcome to the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange! site You can add yourself and they will send you weekly updates of children who fit your criteria!

So if I can't adopt these children hopefully I can find another group to adopt...wish me luck!
