legal risk matching question

Specifically in regards to adopting from foster care with legal risk placements:

Once you were matched, did you contact all the other agencies/workers that you had requested your homestudy be submitted for, to let them know you were matched?

Will workers not consider you for other placements once you have been matched, until that match has run it's course - either adoption or RU or kinship?

My thoughts were that we should notify them that we have accepted a match, and then they can all proceed from there. Thoughts?

If you are working with just one agency and you are only in it for an adoptive placement, then they will probably not contact you for additional placements. If you are also fostering, then they probably will. If you're working with multiple agencies then you probably need to contact them if you are not open for additional placements.

When we were adopting the first time around I did not specifically revoke my homestudy from requests I'd sent out for a few reasons, first - what if my adoption failed, if the bmom changed her mind (it was a domestic adoption), and second, I so rarely got contacted by any of the agencies I was persuing, I was actually really curious if anyone would ever contact us.

Is the placement in your home yet or were you just matched? If the placement isn't in your home; I wouldn't tell anyone anything because you never know what could happen. Plus, you can always decline a placement if a call comes in. Congrats with a match.
