Adoption gift?
What would anyone recommend as an adoption gift for a child adopted thru foster care?
Our daughters previous FP's are adopting the child they have now in about a month and we want to send her an adoption present but are unsure of what would be appropriate. Any ideas?

You didn't mention how old the child was but our daughter was adopted at age 7. The favorite gift she received was a little cedar box that locks with a key. She keeps her little "treasures" in it and likes to wear the keys on a chain around her neck. Just an idea.

I like books. There are several with positive adoption messages. I particularly like "Happy Adoption Day" for an adoption gift.
I also like things that the family could create together - like framing their finger/hand prints. It is great that you are keeping in touch with them. What a wonderful way to affirm your daughter's experience.
