I am very frustrated
with the way things are progressing with our adoption. I am a military wife and my husband recently left for Japan. Thankfully we had the petition for adoption hearing before he left... and the judge said everything was in order he did not need to see us again due to our situation and he would just sign the paper when he recieved it. Our case worker said evrything was done and the paperwork was at the court. Now the lawyer said there was some 'complications' what could that be??? Of course no one returned my calls today... and I would really hope to get everything signed before Oct 1 because after we wait for the birthcertificate we have to wait for passports and wait for the military to do whatever they have to do so our daughter could be his dependant... thankfully the military has started that process already... so my family is torn apart right now... I cant put my house on the market because I dont know when I can leave... I am not working right now (loving every moment of being a stay at home mom) and supporting two households is getting difficult, I have to figure out how to travel with my pets ... whenever I do get to leave I will be doing everything from deciding what to take, what to store, and what to sell... and actullay traveling to Japan, a 14 hour flight with a cat, dog and well she is 17 months now.. all by myself... we are hoping my husband can come but who knows... and flights from Japan are expsensive... Everything is so overwhelming yet we are in limbo...Finally after so many years of waiting for a child and one heartbreaking reunification later (who wound up in foster care again and oops they forgot to call us) we finally found our forever child and we cant start our lives... sorry for the rant.. this being my first post and all... and sorry I dont know all the abbreviations yet... oh I could go on and on... but Thank You for reading... that is if you got to the end LOL mommy to one beautiful, special, precious, princess Last edited by chiana : 09-21-2009 at 10:23 PM. |

I'm sorry this is taking such a crazy route to get to the final goal. Hang in there and it will all work out.

Argh, what a tough time! Somehow, life always manages to have everything drop on us at the same time. Keep your head up and enjoy the time with your child! Good luck!
