We met our daughter!
Talk about the most nervous day of my life! The wait was awful!! She is is so funny. I was waiting in the parking lot and saw her walking across and into the door. Then when I walked in the room I saw her smile. I got to hug her for the first time. She is a little chatter box and had so many questions. She said she couldn't wait to see her room so we were off. It was like we knew each other forever. She referred to everything as "our.This is our car, house, barn?" etc She finally got to meet her future daddy and they had such a great time! She asked if she could go ahead and move in. LOL We had a wonderful time together and can not wait until Saturday.

Foster/Adopt classes began January 14, 2008 Classes completed February 28th, 2008 Licensed to Foster/adopt September 9th, 2008 Soon to be AD placed 07/10/09 adoption to be 01/10  FD- M 6 yo placed 10/02/09  FD- H 6 yo placed 02/20/09  united with aunt 07/10/09FD- J 2 yo placed 02/20/09  united with aunt 07/10/09FD- Big K 9 yo placed 10/07/08 To be reunited with parent 02/27/09  FD- Lil' K 7 yo placed 10/07/08 To be reunited with parent 02/27/09

03/06 - Approved Foster/Adopt Parent in CA 03/06-02/08 - 5 kids placed with us (E, O, S, H, J) 03/06/02/08 - 4 Respites (R, F, D, R) 02/08 - Moved to TX 08/08 - H adoption final 08/08 - Approved Foster/Adopt Parent in TX 08/08-5/09 - 3 short term fosters during this time (A, P, M) 03/23/09 - FS P - 3 days old 11/02/09 - FD A - 7yrs old - Hoping she stays forever! Still waiting for another forever child or two...

06/08 - First appointment with private adoption agency 10/08 - Completed foster parent/pre-adoption classes 02/09 - Switched agencies and submitted adoption application with DHS 05/09 - Home study approved and submitted for several waiting children 06/09 - Opened home to foster care placements 06/09 - Chosen to go to committee for a sibling group of four 08/09 - Not chosen at committee 09/09 - Passed on sibling group of 2 Happy Daycare Provider to 7 children: E age 7, Big C age 6, A age 6, Little C age 3, B age 2, CJ age 1 and Baby E 10 mon Happy foster mom to 1 baby: Frank the Tank, age 8 mon (placed 6/17/09)

Goal: Adoption!!!  12/11/08 TPR granted 10/24/08 2nd placement B 6 month old girl Goal: RU 05/29/09: Best interest staffing for L.....we are officially chosen as her adoptive family!  06/24/2009: Subsidy Negotiation......waiting on finalization date!

July 2nd-Submitted interest in R (7) July 7- Recieved HESGH Aug 12-RAS (rep'ed by my old PRIDE trainer) Aug 13- Selected to be Mom to R (7 yr old girl!) Aug 18-Read File (both boxes full!) Aug 20- start pre-placement communication Aug 28- no visit/come home Oct 20 09- Finalize!

That is so wonderful! We get to meet a little boy on July 7 for potential placement. They want us to meet him first before we meet his sister also. He is ADHD and suffers from attachment disorder. We are very nervous and excited. Does anyone have any experience with these disorders?
