We were told by one of the CW for one of the sibling groups we are looking at that they are trying to get a disclosure meeting approved to move forward. Does this mean we are a match? Do they do these meetings before you have been matched? Any guidance would be appreciated!

Do not be afraid to ask what it means your AW should be able to tell you or at least find out for you.

I would ask just to make sure....as you know different states/counties do things differently. Where I'm at, I would have had to agree to hear more information on a tentative match before a disclosure meeting...but again that is in my area. My new philosophy, "when in doubt, ask your cw"

In our county sometimes they do discllsure for "the" family that is picked. But sometimes they pick like 3 families and the disclosure is almost more like an interview. So, like PP'ss said, I would just ask.

Well I pretty much found out that it just depends, but usually if they are moving to disclosure you are the family being considered. So next step disclosure meeting - just waiting for that now....

well I hope things progress in a positive manner. It's important to know all the info. before making the final decision! That's where I'm at now as of yesterday....

Well a couple of the inquiries we had made are coming back at the same time, they liked our homestudy - has anyone every been faced with multiple disclosure meetings? Did you do them and then make the decision? How DID you decide?

Its amazing how either the phone never rings or it rings all at once. I guess I am happy to be on the ringing side finally!!!
