Today is Intro day!
Please keep fingers and toes crossed and say a prayer or think good thoughts for us. Today we meet the 9 year old we've been matched with for adoption. We're very excited and nervous. I will post later on how it went!

It was awesome...really! We spent some time playing and a bit of time chatting and will spend some more time together on Saturday.

That sounds very exciting! What is the time frame that you've been given for these initial meetings and then overnights, etc.?
On Monday, we're meeting with the caseworker of two sisters (age almost 2 and almost 4) who are legally free. I'm so excited! How long after you were "matched" did you get to met her?

It was just about 3 weeks from matching to the Intro today...we had several meetings with therapists, case workers, care givers, etc before the meeting. He found out about us a week ago, so he had a few days to process (with abook of our pictures, etc).

congratulations on having a smooth day. Sounds great. I hope when I get to that place it goes as smooth as it sounds in your post.

Speech therapist to 39 children 6/1/09, homestudy officially approved 6/3/09, Selected! ....decided not to move fwd. after disclosure meeting  9/29/09, Selected!  10/6, appears relatives applied for ICPC  current status: Selected for 6 month old girl  (ummm apparently my cw can't add...she's 4 1/2 months old  )
