finalization question
Everything is completed except the finalization court date. My attorney requested a date over a week ago. I plan on having a party and sending out announcements so I would like to get a date soon. How soon does it take for my attorney to get a response back telling him when the court date will be?

Mommy 2 twin girls FD 5 years old (July06-Nov.06) Went back to mom FS 3 months old (Sept06-Oct06) Went to bio. dad Twin FD 5 weeks old (Sept06- present) TPR date 8-08 TPR'd on 8-25-08 (now waiting 30 days for appeal)  Girls Became Legally Free on 10-3-08!!  Signed Adoption Agreements on 1-30-09!!  Finalization Date 4-13-09 at 3pm!!

I have no idea. I am still waiting for my AW to get back to me regarding having everything finished on our end for the subsidy to be set. That is the last thing needed before the date can be set.

We started getting our adoption subsidy last month. All we need now is the judge to sign the paper...waiting is the worst!

We heard back with a date within a day or two, but our situation is not eligible for subsidy. We finalize 3/19! Good luck to you!

Its been a few weeks and I haven't heard anything. I know I am being impatient about this, but I am SO excited! Every day I am hoping something will be in the mail or I get a phone call but I get nothing

Here the attorney files one ay and then 2 days later it's court time. It's just crazy that they are keeping ya'll waiting so long.

We still havent heard anything as far as a court date. It will be 3 years in Sept when the girls came into our lives. I am ready to make it final and forever, I dont understand why I am having to wait so long. If I could just get a date I would have something to look forward to. Sighs.
