Exclamation A Little Worried, Should I Be?

We have been fostering our daughters since Sept 2006, so over 2 years. The bios were TPRd and they became legally free in Oct. Since then we have been working with the adoption worker, she is new and very slow. Either way, we are on the downhill slide, we ended up having to get new medicals, financials, and background checks. So, after we turned in the medicals, my doctor wrote I wasnt complient to appointments or taking my meds like i should. (Im diabetic and on cholesterol meds) I admit I am a little lax on that, but I have been doing better. So the adoption worker called and said legal may deny us adoption because of that, all though on the form the doctor did check that in her medical viewpoint we would make good adoption parents. Could we lose the girls for something so silly? Has anyone heard of this? Is it something I should lose sleep over? She did call a few days later and said she was working on our adoption subsidy, if she thought we would lose them...would she still be working on this stuff?

Could you sit down with the doctor and express an understanding that you need to take your meds and tell him you will make a sincere effort to do so?
Maybe he can send in a letter about the meeting to the CW to be put in your file?
Wish you luck.

Like Biblemom, I would recommend doing some damage control. Try to get something in writing added to your homestudy to the affect that the doctor is not concerned about you providing appropriate and timely medical care for your daughter, just that you do not always keep appointments yourself. I do think it could be an issue. I don't know if I would lose sleep, but I would be very pro-active to get additional information into your homestudy to conteract(sp?) the statement about you not being compliant.
