Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to get the full disclosure back? I was told It took 60 days but it was supossed to be done this month and I am finding out its not been started apparantly. Looks like our march date is out . Or so says the new adoption worker.

I'm not sure about where you are, but I got full disclosure the day I was selected as the adoptive parent.

After we went to a staffing, they weren't going to give us full disclosure until AFTER our son was placed. We pushed and they sent full disclosure to our caseworker. We got it about two weeks after staffing, but I wouldn't call it full. The medical records are only from before he came into custody. I guess we got what they wanted us to have.

we was supossed to adopt in March but they now say they do not even have any of the kids back ground yet. We was told today it was supossed to be back today ( they said they had 60 days from the time they request it) the 60 days was 60 days ago! Now they are saying they have 60 more bc I guess it did not get done.

Welcome to my hell. We were told it could take 60 days before we sign our placement agreement. It has been past 60 days, we have had 2 appointments canceled when we were supposed to sign. I was told we will PROBABLY sign in Jan. Im not holding my breath anymore. We have had these girls since they were newborn..we know their history. I feel your pain, but I figure it's going to happen for us...eventually. (BTW, when the girls became legally free my attorney said we would have them adopted by Christmas)

We had full disclosure at the beginning of December and we expect the adoption to be final in March. It took them two months get their history done. I think that was longer than normal based on what the caseworker said, but I don't know what "normal" is.

I called and complained....now they told us today they got the medical back and now are working on the next step in the adoption. Can anyone tell me what that would be? They also said they put another person on our case to help it go fater!

The next step may be determining what subsidy, if any, the child qualifies for. They may also have to get updated psych evals, etc, if everything is old. Disclosure is supposed to include all education records, medical records, family history, psych records, any testing done, etc.
