Concurrent placement needed

I've ran across a few photolistings with "Concurrent Placement Needed". What does this mean exactly?

What does the status usually mean in regards to the children?

Thanks.

That usually means that the goal is still "reunion" but they aren't expecting the parents to get custody so they're looking for an adoptive home to foster the children during the proceedings.

Read "How Safe Cords Kill" at www.pfwbs.org

THREE CHILDREN HAVE STRANGLED TO DEATH SINCE ANGEL DIED ON 8/11/09.
Brandyn Coppedge died on 9/11/09. Rosie Smith died on 9/30/09 and Thapelo Kwofie died on 11/1/09. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is no longer recommending safety kits. They are now recommending that anywhere children live or visit should be free of corded window products.

Thanks Kat. I thought it was that, just wanted to make sure.

Would it be out of line if I sent an email to the case worker before I've even attended the PRIDE classes to give heads up I might be interested in possible placement after I get my license?

It never hurts to show interest. They won't "save" kids for a possible future placement. But if there isn't a lot of interest, then they will be glad to know that you might be a resource in a few months if the kids are still in care.
