frustrated, bummed and need to vent
I have been patiently waiting my TRP date. This is the email I got from the cw:
"Court date won’t be until after the 1st of the year due to court calendar schedules. They will file it on 12/22 because of my vacation schedule." The cw has had at least 37 days of vacation since I have had these babies. On 7/30 the ADA instructed the cw to have the TRP paperwork reviewed and ready to file on 10/10. She told me she "had a goot start on it" on 9/14. The paperwork was given to the ADA for review on 11/4 (vacation, training, training and "just swamped"). Now I find out it will not be filed until 12/22....that is a whole lot different than 10/10. The TRP is for twins that were placed at 3 days. They both have asthma and I live in Wisconsin. This means we will have to continue parent visits at least until February Subjecting their already compromised lungs to more insult (not just the cold but the hygine issues of the parents). I'm frustrated and have no avenues. The cw has MAJOR pull when it comes to the "best interest of the child" hearing. If I put up a stink and get her in trouble she will make my chance of adopting these beautiful blessings very difficult. So I am forced to sit back and wait. Is it wrong to contact the GAL (who has only been seen in court - from a distance and vanishes when court is done)? Is it worth the effort or will that be unfruitful? Even if I were not hoping to adopt these boys I would be angry at the way they are pushed to the side to accommodate eveyone else's schedule. Sorry this is so long...but I really needed to vent. Hope this is the right spot. Thanks for listening |

Hi! I know it is very frustrating. I have had my FS for almost a year (he is 15 months old). BP have done nothing and we are just finally having a TPR hearing next week. This isn't even because anyone dropped the ball...it is just how long it takes. I say just hang in there. These things take time and you don't want the TPR to not "stick" because they hurried through it. That is what I keep telling myself, anyway. Hang in there!
