National Adoption Month Adoptions
How many of us have or will finalize adoptions of their fc this month?
How many finalized on National Adoption Day (Nov. 15)? How many have been chosen the Forever Family for a child this month?

Finalize this FRIDAY
Our county is holding mass adoptions this Friday. We are fortunate to be part of the proceedings. We tooks placement of the kids June 30th and were granted permission to finalize early. Thank goodness to be done with this paperwork nightmare. I will be SO glad when it is done FOREVER!

Our county made a point of getting our adoption pushed in so that we were a part of the adoption month. ALthough they couldn't get us on adoption day (it was a saturday this month). We finalized our adoption a week ago today on November 12th! YEAHHHHHHH!!! Our county has decided to feature us in their newsletter since we were the only adoption this month!.

Well, we started the whole process in November last year and we're hoping to move from "potentially matched" to "officially matched" this month. Does that count? :-)

We're finalizing *B's* tomorrow... and at least here in Cali they are saying tomorrow November 20th is National Adoption Day. The court house is dedicating one room to adoptions all day long tomorrow & is having a guest speaker, balloons & snacks to make it a big celebration. I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself as this is our first time finalizing

I finalized one on National Adoption Day, 2 years ago. I wanted to wait and have our pics in the paper. He wanted to go to school!! gosh darn kids!!

Approved and Liscensed--March 2007 Placed with 10 month old--Mid 2007--foster/adopt---Goal-Adoption Birth parents terminated their rights--March 08 Adoption completed on Natl Adoption Day 2008 New FD place May 08---RU'd with mom March 09

We have signed the paperwork stating we want to adopt our current FD today. We also found out that the state of Maine no longer pays lawyer fees for adoptions and we can either try to do it ourselves or we can pay for a lawyer of our own. My CW was supposed to have us do paperwork 2 weeks ago and we would have been fine but because we did it today and the decision was made yesterday we can not get help. Oh well

We finalize Princess and Pumkin on the 25th of Nov. our county is doing all adoptions on this day. We are so excited and cant wait, we have been so blessed by these girls.

We became pre-adoptive for our sweet boy on Nov 14.

Licensed as foster/adoptive parents 10/31/08. G respite visits on weekends of 10/31/08 and 11/7/08. G pre-adoptive on 11/14/08.  TPR granted Jan 15, 2009. Waiting period for finalization of TPR over Jan 25, 2009. 6 month waiting period over, G available for us to adopt, 5/22/09. Signed Petition for Adoption June 4, 2009. Finalization June 22, 2009.
