relative possibility

Quick question...

our fd has been with us 5mths. bio mom is not getting her back (caseplan stated) bio is MIA and is wanted for God knows what. Relative placement was requested. bio mom picked her nw 20yr old sister. I just found out the other day that the sister had a baby taken away from her at the age of 14. Shoudl this stand against her? It just keeps getting worse and so the the extended family, sad to say as this beautiful little girl desreves the very best upbringing.

I should hope they won't hold what happened to her at 14 against her, she was just a child herself. I hope that if she is a suitable placement your fd can get on with getting home to auntie and if she's not that fd is able to stay with you where she is loved and happy.

I agree--let the child not stay in "limbo" for extended time. I also hope the past will not be held against the aunt--many 20 yr olds are very responsible and capable of caring for a child.

just found out that aunt really doesn't want the child. bio mom seemingly is asking her to take the baby. She will go to the state she is in and get her back. Like childrens services will never find that out?????? Sad thing is, if aunt is dishonest enough to take teh homestudy, pass and give herto bio mom, then we will loose this precious child to another family in another state. This makes me mad!

That is so wrong! How can people treat a baby like that?!
