I have been contacted about two children. They are not siblings. One is a boy age 4 and the other a girl age 3. I would like to adopt both children, however, I do not know if that is done or allowed in foster/adopt. Oh, I should mention I am doing straight adoption from foster care. Does anyone know if this can be done? More importantly, can anyone tell me their experience with this?

I am assuming that these children are in foster care. Best practice is that one adoption is done before another can be started. This might be different if both children were already placed in your home for foster care. I am guessing that your worker will only allow you to go ahead with one of the children.

They are both from foster care. I think it would be better to do one at a time too. I have spoken to my worker and it looks like I will have to choose. I hate to do so. I really want them both.

You might want to see if you can 'go to committee' for the first child, then if not selected go for the second. That way you wouldn't have to miss a potential match if not chosen for one.
