Interstate adoption with a child from Texas
Hi - has anyone had any experience with adopting a child from Texas (Interstate) and bringing them to your state? How difficult was it and how long did it take>

If you're talking ICPC process then it took us 10 months. Ours was from Idaho to Florida though...and not Texas.
Are you adopting this child? And has placement been decided to be with you? Have they started any ICPC paperwork yet?

YEAH

Both of my boys are from Texas. From the time of referral to move in it was about 6 months. I am in MN.

We live in Texas and adopted from Texas. We were selected the end of May and our children were home in September. A friend gave me the advice of calling the ICPC offices to touch base. I firmly believe that this helped.
