Starting homestudy in ont...
Hi All
I have not been on this site in almost 2 yrs. My dh and I are now starting our homestudy through a private practitioner as we are still waiting on the CAS waiting list for then to do our homestudy. Just wondering if anyone here in ont has recently completed an adoption or foster to adopt and wondered how your experience went. I have a fertility problem and cannot carry a baby to term, so I am hoping to start a family this way! Look forward to hearing for you ... http://forums.adoption.com/images/ad...tons/quote.gif

We recently completed an international adoption in Ontario - feel free to ask any questions! I also wanted to add - not sure what "type" of adoption you are interested in, but I recently got an email from another forum I am a part of, and there is a major shortage of families in Ontario for transracial placements, if you want more info on this just let me know! Mom to bio dd - age 16 -  Mom to adopted ds - age 10 - Waiting to adopt #3 from South Africa December 2005 - Began Homestudy May 2006 - Homestudy approved -  June 2006 - Profile in South Africa July 2006 - waiting for a referral!!!!!! Nov 2006 - Referral - it's a boy!!!!  Dec 27th - leave for SA! the countdown begins.... January 22nd - Home in Canada with new baby boy.

Hi Karyn,
Nice to meet you.. We currently are planning to adopt through our CAS. Yes I would be interested in any information you could provide. We've waited almost 2yrs for CAS to do our homestudy and was recently advised the wait will be longer.. we are with a private practitioner and our homestudy will be complete once our PRIDE training is done.
