How long does it usually take

Once you've made an inquiry on a child until they let you know whether or not you'll get a staffing? We're still waiting to hear about those girls we made inquiries on at the adoption event on June 8th. Seems like a long time we've been waiting. I do know that our SW faxed our home studies a little over a week ago... so I guess really I should only count from when the CW's got the home study, right?

This waiting is tough. I'm all emotional.. like I'm hormonal or something, only I'm not. Anyway, we did see a couple of other kids from our state that we are interested in if neither of these pan out. We just want what is best for the girls, and if we're not it, we will be for another child. In other words, whatever will be, will be. I just wish we KNEW what was gonna be... LOL

I wish that all workers had a set time to when they had to get back to you. We have been waiting for a fost/adopt placement for over 5 months. There was a sib set that we waited for 3 1/2 months for her to make her decision (not us). It was so awful. I think that was on the long side. I think it is not uncommon for it to take a few weeks though. And often when the worker does make a decision, she/he does not tell everyones worker whose homestudy has been submitted. It really is hard waiting though, with so much of it out of our control. Good luck!

We were told that our homestudy was submitted, now it's just the wait to see if we get the staffing... that's what I was wondering, how long does that take Oh well, good things are worth waiting for, right ?!?

That part could take a couple of days or a couple of weeks - you never know. Every worker is different.
