Monthly Stipend Advice
How do we know how much to receive? M is a special needs child with many on going tests. At this time we don't know the severity of his special needs. Is there a starting point we need to know about, I know we get the basic foster parent rate for WI but how do they decide on the special needs of M? The SW is coming to talk to us in a week about this and I would like to know as much about this as possiable.

I don't know about WI, but in my area (the other side of the country) the DHS nurse comes to your home and talks with you about the extra needs of your fc. Based on what your answers are to the questions, she uses a formula and figures out the extra that you will receive.
