help with this and that
We are planning to adopt out FS and FD, ages 15 and 13, as soon as the court system can get through the paperwork to have BF rights surrendered or TPR. So first question, any advice on how to get through to the people in charge of this kind of paperwork? I have spoke with and left numerous messages with the appropriate parties, but I feel like our kids are just being left in a pile of 'to do's', and they are not being given the priority they deserve.
Second issue, their BGrandmother is in dire health and we have just learned that the birthmom (who has not seen or talked to them in over a year- but has sent letters with well wishes) will be in town for the holiday. So that means that if the worst case scenario happens with their Grandmother in the next few days, they might run into the birthmom during the services (whom surrendered her rights back in April). Any advice on what to expect? We have been very honest with the kids and let them know what is happening both with Grandma and birthmom.
Thanks for any help you can give!
