Congrats to everyone!
We saw our daughter the other day. She is beautiful! I so wanted to reach out and touch her as she adjusted her hair in the observation window. She comes here next week for a visit then and overnight next weekend. By the end of the first week in July she should be here forever. Our beautiful daughter! She hasn't been to the zoo or anything like that. Just wait! We plan on doing it slow but that will be so hard. LOL

Well Im feeling so torn. We were matched with & finalized our adoption of Tuck. But during the adoption day I found out our little boys brother was living back in a foster home. Turns out that move was un-documented & as far as the state is concerned. The person who told me about this was the foster families case worker & she never called the move in to the state. So now they are trying to figure out how to catch that his Grandma gave him back to the foster family. If they can't prove she gave him up, we can't have him. She gets first rights to him, & from what I understand we are second since we have a biological sibling & the foster family may lose him if we decide to take him. This is probably the reason the move wasn't called in, because they knew he would be offered to us. Im just so torn as to wether to push the issue so my little boy & his FULL brother can be together. Or leave him with the family he knows & loves. Its just such a hard situation.

it must be so hard for you. How long has his brother known the family he is with? Maybe ifhe'ss attached, you should leave hm there and just try to ensure a relationship?

Again, it must be so hard for you. I'm sure whatever you choose will be the right decision.

Im not sure how long he's been with them, because he was moved outside the system. Im having trouble getting answers of course because no one wants to admit fault in the situation. Im hoping we can get a decision quickly seeing as its the summer & now would be the best time to move him!

Sooo I just found out that over 100 inquiries have been made on the girls I am (still) hoping for.

I wonder where a 26 yr old single working mom falls on the list.....

Well, one of the little girls (the one I LOVE) is not a match. Frankly, our SW was surprised they even contacted her to tell her. But, I am glad. At least I can move on now.

We recently received our licence. Horray! So now we can move from the "waiting to be licenced" thread, to the "waiting to be matched" thread. And then hopefully someday we can move to the "waiting to finalize" thread. Waiting, waiting, waiting....

We have a date. July 8, 1:00 we go to committee. We have info about the sib group now we are waiting for info about the little boy. Don't you hate when you get the info and you have more questions? I don't know if I should wait until the committee or ask my CW to ask their CW. Any suggestions?

We got the call today for a newborn baby girl!!! We're hoping she'll be released from the hospital and we can pick her up tomorrow. I'm now studying my baby book since I've never taken care of a newborn before. WoooHooooo!!!

Congrats! Hope you've got everything you need, because when we got that call we were expecting a 5-7 year old and had nothing but a convertible bed and convertible car seat. Neither even worked with an infant, and there wasn't a diaper in the house! Still it was great! good luck!

Okay I know this is a small thing....but tonight I went on the AdoptUS site and our sib set status changed to Hold, Placement Pending - I was so excited

Now hopefully we can get them home before school starts!
