Waiting is so hard! I run in the door each day and check my email, and then look at his picture. We're just waiting on them to complete his whole packet to send to us for review. Jenkay is going to beat us all! I'd be scared to about the sister visit issue. Hopefully they are smart enough to supervise it to make sure important info isn't leaked or that she isn't made to feel guilty. What a difficult situation. Give us updates when you hear!

Our update is NOTHING. So much for their statement that they will let us know if we were a match for the boys by the end of Oct.

So, it's the 4th of Nov and still no word. Emailed the worker and she said she emailed the county but haven't heard anything.

I'm so sorry Sergekel! Sometimes I think they forget that they gave us dates that we cling to and count down. To them it's just another day. I hope you hear something quickly, and at least an email is in the works now so they will be reminded that they are taking forever!

We pick up our AD tomorrow and CPS being the geniuses they are want to schedule a visit with her estranged sister who is not supportive of the adoption tomorrow before we pick her up!!!! What is the matter with these people? We have flat out said no it will not happen. I see a long road ahead with this sister.

Well I'm coming in to join this group. I am waiting for a newborn baby girl Biracial/AA. I went back on the list last Friday and have had one call, but the baby was taken by the time my social worker called back to say yes.

So I am waiting again and it stinks. Waiting isn't any easier the second time around.

I freak everytme the phone rings :-)

We go down to visit our potential son next week We are very excited and hoping the visit goes GREAT as we expect it to! Mostly, we want to see how our daughter does with him - that piece is very important to us.

Well, we got a call today that they are going to try to do visits this weekend & next, with placement happening the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We still have to get permision from a CPS supervisor, but we are waiting & hoping they give us permission before Thursday! How did everyones visits go? Jenkay, how did the move in go this weekend?

Musemoon, I'm so excited for you!!!!! I got the call for Rowan after waiting 3 weeks and she came home 3 weeks after that. She's black/Samoan. I hope your wait isn't long!!!! What a great Christmas present for your little one, possibly, to become a big sister.

Jenkay, I wonder if for some employees they lose whatever common sense they may have had when they accept the job at DCF.

I'm so excited for Athikers & m2nh1!!!! I hope your visits are great and your placement happens soon!!

We picked R up on Friday after school and she was a little quiet but we have a 1 1/2 hour ride home so by the time we got there she and my son were having a ball together. Saturday we just hung out and got her unpacked (didnt take long), Sunday we spent the day shopping and she got to meet my parents which went really well. Yesterday we got her registered for school and then our agency and cps came to our house to sign the placement papers then we had a placement party!! Bugers and cake. She started school this morning and was a little nervous but she's going to a small private school that my son went to so i know everyone and they are all excited that she's coming so she's in good hands. I cried after I left her!! Those first day of schools are rough no matter their age!

Things are really falling into place and my panic has stopped though the stress rolls on and I'm sure that is just the chaos that is our home right now. My son came down with strep Sunday evening and its 6 weeks test time (he's in 7th grade) so that was just a little added stress. My wonderful mother in law gave me a coupon for my bday for a 1 hour message!! Perfect gift I cant wait to go get it!!

And yes Yash I think they are all lacking common sense. The cps worker sat on the floor with R yesterday to try to have a talk and they have never met. R pretty much ignored her...lol She told her that the 6 months was a trial period!! After they left I told R there was no trial period in 6 months we will sign the final papers period! She is our daughter right now! We were able to dodge any visit with her sister for now, hopefully it wont cause problems in the future. Oh she also agreed to change her name so that was great!

*sigh* I feel drained but in a good way..time to start our new lives as a family. We're so blessed and I wish that for everyone here.

Awww, Its so nice to hear your stories! Its hard sometimes to believe its real & we will be bringing our son home soon. At this point he's still a picture, which is sad to say. I mean we are thrilled, but it won't really sink in until we get to see & hold him. I have my fingers crossed for everyone who hasn't gotten their match yet!
