Has anyone fostered two babies at one time
Just wondering if anyone has fostered two babies at one time? Or what ages did you have at one time?

I had a two year old and then got a call for a one year old. They won me over by telling me she was a chubblet and had blue eyes and curly hair. I have to add here that I am a single parent and did not really want to have another child placed with me.
Now two years later. We are all celebrating our one year adoption anniversary. The great thing is that even though the kids are not related they look alike and when a stanger looks at our family picture they swear that we are all related and that I had to of birthed these children. Having two young children at the same time can be crazy, especially if you have to keep up with visits and court dates and such, But I know personally I wouldn't of changed a thing. |

Frequently. Right now I have (as a single woman) a 12 month old girl, a 7 month old boy and an 8 week old boy.
The biggest thing to remember is to schedule, schedule and schedule. I immediately put all new babies on the same schedule in order to ensure that I get the rest and down-time that I need to be an excellent parent. I might add, all my babies are medically fragile.

I have right now a 19 month old and a almost 12 month old, oh and the 4 yr old too. As soon as the 19 month old turns 2 I plan to open my house for a newborn
. Just like Dbl L said schedule and routines are a must. I also at one time had a 3 yr old, 2yr old, 1 yr old, and a 5 month old. It was sure crazy, but fun.

I have
In February of 2003 we took a 4 month old little girl into foster care. 3 weeks later they called us with a newborn baby boy & we took them both!!! It was tough at times but we survived and have adopted them both - they are now 4 & 3 years old. I now have a sibling group of 2 and they are 11 months & 22 months old - we have had them for 4 months now.

What states allow more than 2 under 2? Florida and California only allow 2 under the age of 2. For me, I could take care of 4 infants easier than 2 infants and 2 - 2yr olds
And we ALWAYS have 2 under 2.

We added a 13 months old to our house for a VERY brief time, in our case it was a disaster. Not because of logistics, but because our 2 year old was NOT happy to suddenly not be the baby.

We had a sibling group of two that were ages 2 & 3. We had an 11 month old and got a phone call to pick up a 3 1/2 week old from the hospital. We had four children 3 and under... our house was crazy but wonderful at the same time.

I can't even get anyone to call us back about being foster parents to even one child of ANY age! How in the WORLD did you people get licensed?

My boys are 2 1/2 months apart. Bug was 2 days old when he was placed and Bear was 8 weeks old when he was placed 4 1/2 months after we accepted Bug. Schedule is VERY important...but overall I have LOVED every minute!

Foster, no, but we have twin boys. Just getting an hour or two of sleep every night was a real challenge for the first couple of months, and it was generally pretty exhausting in general for the first two years or so.
