My 4 year old asked me recently, "Mommy, why does daddy have a cowboy hat? He doesn't have a horse." Hmmm, how do I argue that logic.
And my 2 year old is convinced that "Christmas Clause" is coming to bring him toys.

When my two oldest were 3 & 5 they were really into Rescue Hero's and had every known character and tool attachment. One evening my 5 year old came to me with two clamp/hook type Rescue Hero tools and excitedly told me "Mommy, me and Brian are going to sleep with these two hookers tonight". Oh My Gosh...I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard. He just looked at me with his innocent little eyes and had no clue why mommy was practically peeing my pants!

My son is 9. My two favorites of the year were yesterday when he told me he was looking forward to 8th Grade science, when they could "digest a frog" (He meant dissect)

The funniest was the beginning of the year. This was his first year in Catholic school and the class was assigned a prayer to learn. I said "What prayer are you learning" and he replied "The Hell Mary". I said "No, dear. HAIL. It means "Hi how are you?" only more formal." He looked relieved and said "OH. I wondered why they were letting us say bad words in church!"

Not my kid, but something my nephew said: In February my parents were taking him to Orlando with them. They were drving from Indiana to Florida! My dad was explaining to him that they would need to stop in Georgia that night. My nephew, who was almost 4, said, "Pappy, who is this George guy? I just want to go to Florida!!"

My son when he was two wanted a baby sister from my tummy. My sil was pregnant and so was his occupational therapist. I had to explain my tummy did not work and we had to wait till someone lovenly (sp?) would let us adopt a baby. Later that day my mom and I went to the store and as we walked in a lady walked out with a newborn. My son started Jumping up and down yelling "Yeeeh we are buying a baby we are buying a baby".

I make pumpkin bread from scratch yearly. One of my neighbor's sons excitedly cut open his jack o lantern pumpkin at age 4, peered into it and said "Where is it?"
His mom asked what and he said "the bread Ms Amy brings us from the pumpkins!"

The same family, the 4 year old was napping, and the 3 year old was outside playing with his mom. I had just baked cookies, spotted some of the neighborhood kids between the ages of 3-6 playing, and quickly decorated my last cookie sheet of cookies with 3 cookies in one color, 3 in another, etc. The point was so I could give one kid all the red ones, one all the pink ones, etc, and there'd be no fighting over who had how many. When I took the cookies to this family, the mom instructed the 3 year old to sit and eat his cookies while she woke up the 4 year old. She reminded him "Half of those cookies belong to your brother.". The 3 year old said "Okay, Mommy." and dug in. I looked over in time to see this child take every single cookie out of the bag, bite it in half, and carefully put the uneaten half back in the bag for his brother.

Shycar, that story is a RIOT.

Yesterday morning D seeing the presents under the Christmas tree asked, “Mommy, can I open my presents today?”
Me: “No, D. Remember we get to open them on Christmas Day. After we get to the star on the Advent Calendar. Do you remember?”
D: “Yeah, oh-kay…”

Later that afternoon: D asked, “Mommy, can you just tell me what’s in the presents?”

Can't blame the guy for trying!

Ok I have another one. Jacob gets to stay up tonight and I was watching tv with Jacob, he is on my lap, and comercials come on. I start to sing along with one comercial. Jacabs looks at me very seriouse. He says "Mom your not a singer, you sure are a stinker, but not close to being a singer" LOL so I guess I sing bad.

Smile Where does Santa live???

This is too (two) funny. Last week after visiting Santa at the mall with 7 of the 9 kids we asked the twins who are 3 where Santa lives. One twin proudly answered "He lives at the mall". The other said "NO, he lives over the moon at the North Pole!" It was really cute to hear their answers since they go to speech therapy and sometimes are shy about answering questions.

Happy Holidays!

This is funny!

My youngest son is adopted and just assumed everyone else was too. He was shocked when he saw a picture of me pregnant with my first child.

I told him that his brother was inside my tummy. He asked, "Did you swallow him???"

My sister and I were talking about a friend having "issuses". My 4-year-old nephew John Paul walked in and my sister said kiddingly "Like you, John Paul, you have issues" He said "No I don't mommy...I have Mickey Mouse shoes".

My seven year old adopted son is famous for his unique way of looking at the world. A couple of my favorites: Last year the cable man was out working on my internet connection. While he was waiting for something to download he turned to E and said "What are you going to be when you get older?' E replied, "Seven."
Then there was the day I was driving down the road when he exclaimed "Mom, I just saw a bald Corvette!" I said "A bald Corvette?", wondering what on earth he was talking about. His answer: "Yeah, it had no roof!"
Oh, wait, I know I said two, but I have one more! One day we were going out of town and E and our other son, who is a few years older had their leappads to play with. I told the boys they couldn't use them till we were on the freeway, as it is a long drive. We stopped at the bank and E turned to his brother, and pointing to the four lane road asked "Is that the freeway?" When J said no, he said "Oh, is it the fourway?"
I could go on for ever with the things E says, as he comes up with something new every day. Unfortunately he is hyper sensitive, and gets very upset if we laugh!
