Appeals Process ?
Well bmom appealed...I know from reading other cases that appeals are rarely won but it doesn't relieve any anxiety.
Does anyone know what the appeals process entails? I got the feeling that the appeals court reads transcripts rather than holding a hearing. Am I mistaken? Also, what is the timeframe like? I have heard everything from a couple of months to a year - ugh! Anyone been down this road? Thanks for any info. Tiffany

I'm there now!
Bmom appealed on 04/28/06. The GAL told me it can be anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. I also understand that they are looking at transcripts etc. then if they find something that needs to be looked into further they may go to trial.
I have had my boys for 32 months (as of this Friday). They do not know bmom. She rarely made her visits in the beginning and the last visit was nearly 2 years ago. I pray we both have positive information soon and are able to adopt our lil ones.
