Foster to Adopt in NJ

Hi,

I'm just beginning to explore foster to adopt in NJ. Anyone out there who has been through/going through this in NJ through DYFS?

we have been foster parents (now called resource parents) in NJ for almost 3 yrs. 2 of our sons were adopted through fost/adopt and our 3rd son through straight adoption.

Technically there is no longer a fost/adopt program. But there are children who will end up being adopted by their foster parents. So even although the program doesn't exist the children do. There is still straight adoption with different levels of risk (children in appeals, etc).

The NJ forum is very active and has a lot of great resource parents. Feel free to drop in there.

Leena

the nj forum is listed under
fostercare & adoption
--->fostercare & adoption support by state
------>New Jersey

I am also in South Jersey, Burlington county. FAFS has a great support group in Burlington county as well. They also have them for other south jersey counties.
