Smile Adoption Final!
Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know about our happy day. Yesterday, September 5 at 9:00 a.m. my daughter's adoption became final and I began to breathe again (after months of figuratively holding my breath after the TPR).

It was raining like crazy here on the eastern shore and we had a few mishaps but overall the actually court proceeding in the judge's chamber was incredibly short and then it was done!

I don't really feel much different, just relieved. She has been with me since she was 5 weeks old and had no contact with her biofamily so I have been her mother in my heart this just made it legal.

We are in the process of finalizing J's adoption and looking forward to our adoption party in November.

I saw a post about adoption announcements. I love the announcements on finestationary.com. They would have to be tailored to fit the situation but they do have some with adoption wording on them. They are a little expensive but they might give you some ideas if you want to make something similar at home.

Good luck to everyone who is going through the TPR and adoption finalization process.

I asked the question about the announcements..I ended up getting mine at einvites.com. I love that you can see a preview and change the wording and fonts over and over before you purchase.
