Well despite the fact that there still is a chance we could lose our FS to his bio uncle CYS is moving forward with the adoption homestudy. We have to have all our clearances redone and have medicals, financials, etc. This will be done by an independent adoption agency.

I would be terribly excited if there wasn't the uncle lurking in the background. The latest I heard was that the dad listed on the birth certificate would actually need to come out here to take the DNA..and if he won't the uncle won't be considered. This is different from before when they said the uncle could take the DNA to prove relation. I heard this from OUR SW, not the baby's...so who knows.

We go to court in 2 months for TPR and goal change at the same time. Hopefully bio dad won't appeal (if they can even find him..he doesn't have a permanent address). I can't wait for this all to be over. If everything goes our way we will be able to finalize by this summer.

Hopeful, sounds like things are moving along well. Good luck with the goal change and TPR, and don't sweat it if the TPR doesn't go through the first time. Ours didn't and it was just a formality to make sure Bdad had the opportunity to have an attorney appointed to him by the court. He hired his own attorney instead, but then didn't pay him or show up for TPR hearing #2, so like they say, it ain't over until it's over!
