Oh my I got two little ones coming

Hi everyone. I have not been on for a while. I lost my 13 month old fs last month and I have been down. Thank you all for your supports it has helped a lot.

Well now I got a call for legal risk. 2 little girls. A 2 yr old and a 12 day old. Im soooo excited. We have a 3yr old fs and hopefully get to adopt in 6 months and we wanted a sibling for him. We planned for one more through foster care and then one from Korea, but this is fine with us. Actually we are excited, couse we wanted 3 kids, but we were hoping adding one at a time. Im sooo excited they come next week, Im already preparing things. yehhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!

Shycar-

I'm soooo happy for you! That is so exciting! But three kids under 3? You are crazy!

Seriously, though - all the best to you. Hope everything works out! Enjoy them little ones!

Thank you all. I am soo excited Im already fixing the room. This is what I know soo far. There was a drug bust about a 1 1/2 month ago. They found drugs in close reach of the 2 yr old and mom was still preg. They found drug and a pipe in her diaper. Can u imagine poor thing. She is very thin and was very dirty. Then mom had the baby and was taken and placed in the receiving home with her sister. The doctors did not check to see if baby came drug exposed couse I guess they dont do it in that county or hosp. She is so far healthy. parents go to visit, but refuse to do drug eval. and are not working at all with sw. They already checked with family and no one past couse of history of drugs.

Im sooo scared they will call us and say nevermind and they dont need us. We have had 5 calls on baby girls and none worked out and where placed with another home or with family. They told me its for sure and they would call monday to make arrangements to pick them up, but until they are here I wont stop feeling so anxious. Ill keep you all posted and thanks again.

I missed your thread earlier....but I am excited for you! Your are brave taking on 3 that young, but I have seen with my 2 that are 14 months apart that sometimes it is easier. They are best buddies most of the time, and if I take my 2 year old somewhere without little bubba, she spends half the time asking me "where's bubba?".

I think it will be good that the older 2 are male and female. If it does lead to adoption for all 3, I've heard that when they get a little older there is less sibling rivalry with opposite sex kids that are that close in age. And a 2 week old......time to snuggle ! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Did you know you can get WIC for them

in most states...our state has a low foster care board rate, especially for infants....and the reason they give is that you can get WIC if you go to the office and complete the paper work...It helps a lot I hear for infants and covers most of the formula they need each month...older children to 5 it is about $30 worth of food a month, but helps if you have a bunch of kids.....

They also have a car seat program with the Department of Health and some deal with diapers, even older kids in foster care and get their pull up for bedwetting....

For some reason many foster parents around here don't seem to know about the other programs

I got to see the girls today. They are sooo cute. I the 2 yr old is shy, but she warmed up after a while and even gave me a hug. She seems very calm and fm said thats how she always is, but can have good tantrums. P the 2 week old baby is soooo tiny. I got to feed her and change her and spend time with both girls it was soooo much fun. I cant wait till tomorrow and have them home.

rindava thanks for the advice. We can get wic here actually the cw called them and had things tranferred to my name and have an appt for next week. It was easy couse fm and I go to the same place. I already have a doctor appt for them also. I picked up their clothes today and Im working on putting them away. I have bottles, formula, sippy cups, diapers, pull ups, and I even bought I's favorites food. The bedroom & carseats are ready and I have been going to bed early so I can rest now before they come. Im ready alll I need is the girls. I cant wait
