Hi Guys, Hope everyone has been doing great! I've been out of town for a few days enjoying Spring Break. Just wanted to share some exciting nesw, I got a call this afternoon from our Adoption worker and she said our paperwork is sent off to licensing and we are officially ready to go, we are now in the next phase of our journey as a "family in waiting....." When the time is right, the next call we get will be a placment phone call (THE CALL) I can't imagine being much more excited than I am right now. Im going to relish this moment and write it down in my journal. What was I doing when i got the call, out front with dh washing our cars, of course!! For others who are waiting to be licensed, hang in there, your day is just around the bend, too! Take care, malificient (Officially in waiting)

I hope that your wait is not long!!!

My husband and I were supposed to have our Homestudy started on the 15th but our CI had a family emergency. She will reschedule and DHEC and Fire Marshall are coming on Wed. We are on the last leg of our "investigative" stage. I can not wait to be where you are Waiting on a match.

tlc4kidz and mrsfrosty, thanks for your cheerful words, it's been a long time coming that's for sure. I know we are just in the beginnings of what will soon be an adventure. But I welcome it, the good the bad and the ugly!! I'm sure we will get our dose of all 3 at 1 point or another. It will be a yr. in May that we took our pride training class. Before ya know it, we will be doing it all over again!! My husband cut down a tree (that was dying) in our back yard during Spring break. I've been (hinting)about putting in a swingset. Our youngest son is 8, but when we get him a little sister to play with, I know he'll be all over that swingset. guess that's our next project we'll be doing. That and fixing up a girls bedroom. Will keep everybody posted. Also, I really enjoy reading posts on families that get their first placment, I get soo happy for them when I hear about it.
