I have had my fdaughter for 22 months, finally on wed 2-23 tpr happened. I am so happy. I have gone through alot of ups and downs with this case. We have our goodbye visit with bmom on thursday. I am nervous, I feel very sad for bmom but I am also the happiest that I could be. I am making a scrapbook for bmom. I went this weekend and got her earpierced. I am releived that I do not need permission from bparents.

Hi Donna,
I hate to point out negatives but don't forget that she had the right to appeal the decision and that adds time to the process. I will keep you in my prayers that things work out as they should for your family. Michelle

Congratulations! I know it may still be a while if the ** or BF appeal but I know just getting through this part is such a relief. On Oct. 27, 2004 our dfd BP's rights were terminated, we were thrilled....but 30 days later when she did not appeal we were exstatic!!!!

Congratulations! It is a relief, but it is also sad. When my children's birth parents' rights were terminated, it was depressing to listen at court and contemplate how their lives had gone, how they had wasted their potential, how they had missed out on their beautiful children. The day of real ecstacy, for me, will be the adoption day. But congratulations on reaching this step! We foster parents have to learn how to rejoice in the steps and progress made along the way. It's a long road!

It was a very sad day. I sat in the court room crying and the judge made a remark regarding my tears.haha I am very sad for the bmom but L deserves a good life.

I cried when my kid's parents rights were terminated too. Family is the most important thing to us and it was sad knowing a family was now torn apart forever and that these kids are going to hurt over this at some point in the future.
