now matched c 3.5 yr old - my sign

We are now matched with a little 3.5 year old boy. Social services has a video for us to see on Wednesday, meet with his worker and make a final decision. I think I know what the final decsion will be ... the night before his conference I dreamed that I gave birth .... is that a clear sign or what??? I was not in the least bit surprised when we phoned our social worker and she said that we had been selected. I knew that we had been. I feel that he has been chosen for us because of all kinds of fateful turns that brought him to us.

This is our second adoption, and dh and I are having role reversal. The first time I was in denial, had a hard time making preparations, difficulty adjusting to being a Mom. He was the saviour through it all. This time I know it's happening, am making the preparations etc. calmly and he is in denial! He says, 'it hasn't hit him yet.' He wants to wait until after Wednesday's conference to do preparations etc. He is like it isn't happening. Thank goodness one of us is always in touch with reality!!

Kalynn.
