Hi,

I have 3 children 2 boys ages 13 and 14 and a girl 11, they are my bio children, and wondering they have , oldest has add and the 13 has adhd and on meds and they are doign great, so wondering if that wil put us down for placements or adoption, we are open to alot of needs and behavior and 0-15 and any race. we have been doing foster care since Feb, 2002 and we are working with our county and for adoption we are working with agency. I know our agency does foster to adopt but they get mostly older chidlren like 7 and up that the counties can't find a home for. so not for sure if i shoudl stay with the county and wait to see what the adoption turns out for us, we only can stay in MN to adopt special needs there was no cost to the agency for the homestudy. so if any one else have any answers that would be great.

If you have been doing foster care since Feb. 2002, I would think your son's ADD would not effect you, unless his issues are serious or criminal. Did the home study interview the children? Have you ever gotten a placement?

we have had alot of placements last yr mostly where repsite care, now we todl our worker that we want to do long term or foster to adopt. we are doing foster care with our county and we are going to try to adopt special needs children through agency, so woudl the workers have concerned that we have 2 special needs already, bu they are on meds and doing good and no trouble with them.
