Anyone adopt from Kansas???
Could anyone that has adopted from Kansas please tell me what it was like. They seem so stand-offish. It is almost like they don't care if these children find homes or not...

We have tried adopting with Kansas several times through our 3 adoption placements to find them very difficult to work with ... unless you are willing to take one of their un-desirables they are hoping to send out of state and out of their lives ... and if you have reviewed their out-of-state requirements - they expect blood vs. just the standard requirements.
Good luck. Keep us posted ... just in case they had added some positives to their reputation.

I adopted from KS several years ago and it was a good experience. However, they privatized and budget crashed causing horrible problems for the foster parents and the kids.
There were agencies telling parents they would receive zero subsidy for really disturbed children and foster parents were not being paid. I don't think much has improved. Sorry
