We we told that foster parents who want to adopt have to under go a rigorous physical exam once they reach a certain age. Does anyone know about this? What is the age and what does the exam entale.

I adopted 2 babies from foster care in Fl. when I was 54 I only needed the standard paperwork filled out by my doctor. This was in 2003. Good luck.

We adopted thru foster care in Florida and it was a one page form we took to our doctor and he answered about maybe 5 questions...it was very simple. But that was in 2008. Not sure if it's changed? But ours was pretty simple. Basically they put down if they feel you are physically and emotionally ready to adopt.

It is the same one page form for all adoptions. I have never seen anything any different for foster parents.
