What to expect at the home study?

I got a message from the lady in charge of the ICPC. She wants to do the home study this week sometime. What should we expect to have/do for the homestudy? Will my hubby have to be here? I am such a wreck with worry over every little thing. This is the first homestudy, do we get a chance to fix something if it isn't the way they want it or is it one home study pass or fail no second chances?

homestudy

Your husband may need to be present for the homestudy due to the personal questions they ask. and if you have something that needs to be fixed they will give you the chance to fix it. However things maybe different in your case. just ask the person conducting the homestudy if your husband needs to be present.

In our home study they wanted us both there to speak to each of us together and then separate. If he can't be there maybe he can meet them at another date. Our home study involved 2 home visits so it should be ok. I would double check with the agency though and get a checklist on stuff you'll need done to pass. Our agency gave us a list and then whatever you didn't have completed they would check on another visit. So don't worry about the 1st visit...they'll let you know what needs to be done when they return again.
