contact your local children's aid society or child protection office and tell what you would like to accomplish, ie fostering then adopting. You'll be required to take some info courses and have a homestudy done.

Please use caution in going the "foster care" route to became an adoptive parent. Many children in foster care are not adoptable. These foster children need love and care. Please don't keep them until you tire of waiting for them to be adoptable. Many times they are returned to their birth families over and over again. These kids need to feel unconditional love regardless of their status in the system.

Become a foster parent in your community and let your agency know that you want to adopt and would like a newborn child that has a high probability of needing an adoption.

i don'tk now how to say this without sounding harsh but if you want a child does it matter about birth defacts? our family is considering adoption also and we have 2 biological boys one was born with problems but even if we had of adopted him birth defacts or not it would matter if you want and love your child.
