I'm not sure what type of certification you need, but if it is just a water safety course, the Boy Scouts of America offer this type of training.

[color=blue]You might want to contact your local police dept. I know that many here in MI offer them, however talking with hubby from the Tampa area he said it's a possibility too. Also, you might want to contact Dept. of Natural Resources (DNR)

water safety course

Sorry, I was thinking of swimming lessons, but they might also have the water safety course. You might ask your local fire dept. They should know. I'm your neigbor. I live in Palm Harbor. I will keep checking for you.

Water Certificate

I was able to take the water safety course at the YMCA in Clearwater. I think it was $15 each. It takes about 2 hours and it's pretty basic but they give you a certificate.

Check out local university fitness centers. They are usually taught by student lifeguards and are very reasonably priced.

Water course in Clearwater

Hi there,

If you find a water safety course near Clearwater can you e-mail me? We live in Clearwater and are looking to foster to adopt a child. I'd like to get this part out of the way early

Thanks,
