Has anyone used FHSA and/or Sue Hedberg for international adoptions?

I am considering changing agencies and using FHSA. I wondered if anybody has had any experience with FHSA and would you recommend the agency?

Thank You
Kris

Smile Adopting Internationally

We're adopting internationally from Bulgaria and using an adoption agency in MD. Our process with them thus far has gone very smoothly and they have a very professional staff. The wait for our child though is long and emotionally difficult. We submitted our application to the agency in August, completed our Dossier by late September and got a referral by the end of October. We flew to Bulgaria in November and met our son. We're now waiting for paperwork signatures and a court date. We hope to have him here by early summer. It's not an easy journey especially once you've met the child and are in a waiting mode. Too much red tape.

What has your experience been like thus far?
You can email me seperately at luctem@aol.com.
I did a lot of research before selecting my adoption agency.

Regards,

Maritza Rutcho

We are using an agency out of Arizona called Commonweath to adopt from the Ukraine. They seem very good. We plan on traveling to the Urkaine in several months before returning with a toddler to our home in Miami.

I would just check out the agency real good. Frankly, I could not find very many agencies I liked in Florida but there might be some. I went out of state to get an experienced agency. And, with going international, I don't think the state where the agency is matters much anyway.

Good luck.

Sue Hedburg

Sue hedberg is excellent, however she is not with Florida HOme studies anymore. She is with Celebrate Children. It is in Celebration, FL. They are great. I do Home Studies for both her and the new agency and I have had many happy people go through her.
