Just wondering if we have any play groups where the children were adopted in south Florida? Would love to join one and or start one so that parents can talk about the adoption, answer questions and allow the children to play together.

I'm in Naples. I don't have a child yet, although we had 3 foster kids who were reunified with their Mom about 3 weeks ago. Hopefully I'll be looking for a playgroup soon!

Dear Kelly,

Finally someone else who is in FLA. Naples that is nice area, we visited about three weekends ago for a wedding. We had a blast! Since we have had this adoption presented to us, everything has been happening so fast, and I am finding some of the moms in my moms group have issues with adoption and have said some mean things about baby K because she is not like them! She is AA/C and my husband, son and I are all C. So I was hoping to find a group, even if I had to drive an hour or so where others had adopted or were adopting. Some place we could all meet etc. I wish you the best, we also might do a foster to adopt of Baby K's 3.5 year old brother but he will not be allowed to go back to his mom or grandma. Did you find it hard to foster a older child? Just wondering?
