I have been told by others that it is the law to have your adoption records opened if you can prove your Native American Heritage. I only have the "non identifying" information from the adoption agency. Which does not indicate the percentage of either tribe. Anyone who has information that could help me with this situtation, it would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU

I was told my birth father was Native American (Cherokee) but it did not say how much either. Did you find out any information regarding your request? Please let me know. Thanks
