Searching for birth parents. Female born September 10th, 1964 in (or around) New Smyrna Beach, FL
Possible last name of one of the parents was "Martino". Any information is appreciated.

I just found out that my mother had a daughter born in Ormond Beach, FL in January 1964. She was born at Ormond Beach Osteopath Hospital. Does any of this sound familiar?

I posted on behalf of my younger Sister who is (like me) adopted.
The facts I have are : Our adoptive parents lived in Vicksburg, Mississippi,(last name was Mitchell) adopted a baby girl alledgedly born Sept. 10th, 1964. This should be about right because there was a Hurricane going on about the time we went to get her. I am almost 5 years older than she is and only remember parts of the trip down. We went to the Daytona / New Smyrna Beach area to get her. Is this any where close to Ormond Beach? According to all we know, either the birth Mother or the birth Father's last name was something like "Martino". I believe the birth Father may have been a college student and the Mother a waitress, but that's not for positive. The attorney who handled "our" end of the adoption was named LaBarre and was from Vicksburg. The attorney that handled the Florida end of it is now deceased and I don't have his name any more. His son took over his practice and all his records are gone. Our attorney gave us the name of that attorney years back when we needed info for health reasons. (Got us nowhere!) Our attorney is now deceased and I don't have the name anymore. My Sister is very petite....blonde hair & brown eyes and according to our parents, the birth parents were of Italian and Polish desent.
