Search for Birth mother/Sibling

Hi!

I couldn't help but notice your posting. I am fishing here, but am ISO my birthmother. I was born 10/15/67, I think, in the KC, MO Florence Crittenten Home.

However, there's a lot of info that i've been told that is not reliable.

I do know that my mother signed her rights to me away in the juvenile court of Jackson County, MO (KC), and I believe she was 17 at the time. This info came from the attorney for my adoptive parents who handled my adoption. He also informed me that my mother had named me Stephanie. That's about all the info he gave me.

As I said before, I'm just fishing. My adopted mother has extended familiy in the state of Florida, and I've had this "gut feeling" for a while that I think my adoptive mother knows more than she has told me as an adult.

She told me as a child that my real grandmother had been married several times and that my real mother didn't want to marry my birth father because she'd seen her mother marry so many times and didn't want to make the same mistakes. My Birth father was to have been in the service and had been adopted as well. Since my birth parents didn't wan't to get married just because me, they decided to adopt me out. My AM also told me that she though my parents were from the "south" (we lived in Missouri).

I've been told that back then, it was not uncommon for other family members of an unwed mother to adopt a child. That's why I'm replying to your post...just on a hunch. Between the DOB and Florida, I didn't think it would hurt to check.

Let me know your thoughts.

Respectfully,

Beth Bybee

HI Beth and Hall,

I am searching on behalf of my husband for his birth familly. He was adopted in 1958 born in St Petersburg Florida. We have learned his birth mother waited almost a decade to have other children; she and the man she married went on to have six children.(born about 1967-1975ish).. a few of whom they adopted and few who are biological their children I have a theory that the adopted children may very well be searching for their own bio roots, thus
on a long shot I am replying to your post. If either of you grew up or know anyone who grew up in what I call a "blended" family with about six children please contact me. We know as of June 2005 both b parents are still living and the mother lives at least part time (maybe full time) somewhere in Florida, she is about 69 years old and be believe was born in 1936.... Here is our web page with more information http://hometown.aol.com/shadechase/m...age/index.html

just copy and paste

I wish you both good luck with search ...

Best
Shade
